launch!

i'm starting a new journal where i can review or post quotes from anything i might happen to be reading, be it fiction or nonfiction, japanese novels, comics, or what have you. it's partly to give myself more practice writing critically, partly so i have a place to burble on about something i do for a considerable amount of time every day (that is, read). so: enjoy.

oh yes, and i'm aware that this template is not dissimilar to the layout of the mcsweeney's page. but: drop caps. neat.
